‘On April 12th, 2011, Kohler Co, from Kohler, WI, a leader in kitchen and bath design, debuted the NUMI toilet. This toilet comes with:

The toilet used to be $5,000 but now, in 2024, the toilet runs anywhere from $6,650 to $11,000.

Bidet

It contains a built in bidet function where it has an adjustable front and rear dryer in the bidet wand with adjustable air temperature. There is a self cleaning UV light and “electrolyzed water systems to automatically clean the wand surfaces,” therefore sanitizing after use.

A bidet is a “bowl or receptacle designed to be sat upon in order to wash a person’s genitalia, perineum (taint), inner buttocks, and anus.” (www.wikipedia.com)

The literal term for bidet is pony, for the way the bowl is to be straddled by the individual.

The Numi toilet also mists the toilet bowl before use for easy flushing.

Additional

A music system is also contained in the updated toilet in where personalized listening selections can be streamed through a smartphone via blue-tooth, with a slot for a SD card to create personal greetings or playlists.

There is also an intuitive open and close toilet lid along with a heated foot and seat warmer. No cold toilet seat or slamming down of lid after use. The seat is also adjustable for different heights for comfort.

Ambience

Ambient lighting can also be accessed. All of this is obtainable through an LCD touchscreen with an “easy to use interface” and a remote. Alexa is also programmed, allowing voice commands and smart home connectivity. (gadgetmates.com)

So, while the Kohler Numi can “do everything and more,” it also saves on toilet paper and water, keeps up with clean hygiene, and thus saving the planet in a small way. All while listening to some ambient music of your choosing.
