Daily writing prompt
What principles define how you live?

I believe don’t spend money you don’t have, don’t tell lies unless it’s not to hurt somebody, but still be honest about it, and I try to see that everybody has something good about them. While I say all this, I admit all of that is pretty hard. I like spending money I don’t have, and I do tell white lies (is that counted as a lie??) and sometimes it’s hard to find something good about some people.

So I think to love the people that love you and have mutual respect, love your animals and children, and try to think something positive everyday. Replace a negative thought with 3 positives one can make a difference. And I try to get out of my head as much as I can because that can be debilitating. Also I try not to pass judgement on others because I don’t know what it’s like to walk in their shoes, or what they may be thinking. Oh, and I like to have a routine because it keeps me focused. And I try to work out somehow everyday, whether it be a walk by myself or with Charley (preferably) or working out to a video. It’s good for the mind. Realize nothing lasts forever.

And I love the golden rule to treat others as you would like to be treated. That one comes into play a lot with me.

Other than that it’s all up in the air.

  1. Credit is paying for the honor of being in debt. Anyone who insists on being brutally honest and truthful, all of the time should be shot. Some people are so vile, corrupt or lazy that any redeeming quality is overshadowed to the point of irrelevance.
As for the golden rule, it would be nice. I’ve noticed that if you treat people the way you treat others, you will leave a trail of offended and confused people in your wake.
