I am really frustrated with myself. Yesterday, I got a Nintendo Switch Lite but lost my phone of over four years in just two hours. I was visiting my good friend Robert, whom I hadn’t seen in a while. We have a great friendship where we can go months without talking, but it feels like family when we reconnect. Time flies by, and before I know it, it’s dark outside, and the streets are quiet. Robert wanted to get rid of his Nintendo Switch because he doesn’t play video games much, while I enjoy them. I accepted his offer, and we went to the grocery store for Mountain Dew. He bought some lottery scratch tickets, which I don’t usually spend money on, but he gave me a few to try. While waiting for the bus, he ended up winning over $200 on one ticket, while I only made a dollar on the ones he gave me. He went to cash in his winnings, and I headed home. During that time, I lost my phone, which makes it even worse.

I am currently looking for places to move, in which I rely on my phone for communication.

I used FINDMYIPHONE and found it in an area near me, not moving. I left my house and ran to the store where we had been waiting at the bus stop. Nothing.

Later, the phone said it was near my place, so I asked the front desk if someone had turned it in. No luck. I checked again and saw it was all the way on 3rd Ave at a convenience store known for crime outside.

I realized then my phone is missing and probably never coming back. I am so screwed. I have to get a phone ASAP. I was actively waiting for a call back on a couple apartments, and I have an appointment to meet with one next week.

I realized how much I depend on that phone. Not only is it used for phone calls, I use it for the internet, and I use it to listen to music while I’m out and about and exercising Charley. Which is what I have to go do right now.

I have to deal with the painful memory of not having my phone, so I can’t listen to music while I am out with her. UGH. UGH UGH UGH.

So I gained a Nintendo Switch but lost my phone in the process. Way to go.
