I finally got a phone after almost two weeks, and I finally watched The Princess Bride. Three times.
Now I can finally see why some people absolutely love the movie. Buttercup and Wesley now are in my heart of favorites. But I still think I wouldn’t have liked it as much if I hadn’t read William Goldman’s version of the book. I found it so witty and incredibly funny. It made me giggle the whole way through. I recommend the book, and then the movie. But both are great.
I am getting a little bit discouraged on my hunt for apartments. Alas, I am going out tomorrow. I will drive, er ride, around with a friend to look at more places.
I still have not been allowed to get my license. I can’t prove I have had a 4 month interlock on my non existent vehicle. It seems silly as to why I would want a license without a car. But there are a lot of reasons. What if I want to drive for a company or, for gosh sakes, rent a moving U-Haul? Or maybe I just want it for my own personal reasons. To put away my DUI from over 15 years ago, my other past life. I was told by the DMV to go get a beater car, put an interlock on it for 4 months, or to call the main headquarters. Ok. Both seem a far cry for resolution.

Well, we’ll see how my apartment hunting goes tomorrow. I just need to keep going at it and not get discouraged.

Charley had a good day, though. It was Sunday so we got the parking lot and the University as her playground this morning. Stella laid on top of the cupboards all morning. It was a good day.
