Of course, nowadays, spell check is readily available whether we are typing a document from a computer, or even sending a text message on the cell phone. Weird, for that was not possible not too many years ago, but oh well.
One thing I would love to see in 10 years is a spelling bee among the everyday people. That would be interesting.
I admit that my spelling abilities are not what they used to be. When I am typing, I used to have to really think when I came upon a word I wasn’t quite sure how to spell. I even would pull out an actual, hard cover, Webster dictionary to make sure I was spelling something correct. Now all I have to do is wait to see the word underlined in red, realizing I spelled it wrong, and then right click it, and the correct spelling would be displayed. Or Google it.
Spelling and math skills seem to be fading away, much like cursive writing. They might become a complex code understood by only a few. Only time will tell.
I am pretty sure the amount of misspelled words will increase throughout the years!
