That is the name of the character that I have made to play my very first D&D “campaign”. I am a wood elf, with honey tan skin and auburn hair with violet eyes. I am in the Ranger branch. I wanted to play a Barbarian at first, but then found out that there are more options in playing a Ranger. I have a couple of spells I can use, a longbow and a short dagger for close up battle. I have perception and can use the nature around me, hence survival skills in the wilderness.

This is just what I’ve gleaned; the D.M. – Dungeon Master – does the narrative on what adventure we are going to go on. All the players come together to skillfully make it through different landscapes and situations. I guess we are playing one that has an ice queen who is the one to defeat. I think that is correct, but I am not sure until I have played. I am to use the skills I have, and each different roll and die mean different things. Like, one roll is the damage we can do, and another roll on a different die will tell how much damage we do or take.

I’ve always wanted to see what D & D is about, and I’m excited to see how this goes. I am definitely stepping out of my comfort zone, which is something I have been striving to do.

So with that, let’s see what Xylith Shadowstar can do this weekend!
